Key features High performanceBy creating a disk based on efficient memory in 3D NAND technology, we have obtained sequential transfer parameters up to 2050 MB/s for reading and 1650 MB/s for writing. New features with NVMeThe NVM Express communication protocol was designed from scratch for fast NAND flash storage media. Using it in PX500 Gen.2, we have unlocked the full potential of the memory, controller and PCIe Gen 3 x4 interface used in it. NVMe significantly reduces delays and queues, making it run incomparably faster than the SSD based on AHCI protocols. Temperature under controlOne of the problems that concerns SSD in M.2 format is the phenomenon of thermal throttling, i.e. reducing performance due to too high component temperature. To prevent this, a unique solution was used on the PX500 Gen.2 component surface, covering the disk with a special foil consisting of copper and graphite. This gave us a very good heat drain, while not increasing the disk size. The 3-year durability guaranteeGOODRAM PX500 generation 2 is available in capacities 256, 512 GB and 1 TB.
